Tydligen så höll sig blodsockret rätt högt efter måltiden men jag har lite dålig pejl på vad som räknas som normalt med deras mått mätt.
It's Day 13 of my 21-day #fasting experiment and time to share what happened following my one meal experience yesterday. Yes, my weight went up (predictably), but the surprising thing is so did my blood sugar. Twenty hours after having that pizza in a pan (all low-carb, high-fat ingredients), my blood sugar was 116. Even when I tested on camera here 30 hours after eating, it was still 100. It's yet another reminder why I'm fasting. I HAVE to!
The silver lining in all of this experimentation is the fact I have never lost my fat-burning as evidenced by my continued STELLAR blood and breath ketone levels. That tells me stored body fat is being mobilized for energy and I'm getting the desired effect I'm wanting. So the question becomes: In the context of higher ketones resulting from stored body fat being used as fuel, do these momentary rises in blood sugar even matter? It's an intriguing question with no 100% bona fide solid answer. For me, I'd rather have the fat-burning which should clearly be happening as a result of lowered insulin levels in the body. Otherwise, if insulin were high, this would not be happening.
It didn't take long for blood sugar to come back in line after being elevated from that meal I ate on Friday. It went from 116 yesterday to 87 today. Perfect! Ketones boosted again too.
