Fat, or should I say diabetic news from Greenland - Traditional Inuit Diet associated with increased type II diabetes risk
A recent study in Public Health Nutrition says: Inuit with a traditional dietary pattern have significantly higher fasting plasma glucose and lowest HOMA-β.
"The traditional diet gave significantly higher odds for IFG and T2DM than the balanced diet, imported meat diet, standard diet and unhealthy diet."
In view of the fact that this "worse compared to the standard diet", the results put a huge question-mark behind the indiscriminate adulation of the "traditional inuit diet" (whatever that may actually be)
