Sweden can be key!
Varför har man inte hört något om detta på nyhterna o.s.v.? Eller är det bara jag som lyssnat dåligt? Bye-bye Roundup är ju jättestort!
Dear friends in Sweden,
It seemed impossible -- but we're on the verge of sealing a historic win against Monsanto's killer glyphosate in Europe!
And Sweden can be key.
Earlier this month our pressure helped stop a proposal to keep this poison in our parks and fields for another ten years -- and right now France is leading efforts to strike a deal that would include a plan to ban it for good.
Sweden opposed the last attempt to relicense glyphosate, but is now under huge pressure to compromise and let Monsanto off the hook. Let's urgently flood our ministers with messages to make sure they don't cave, and instead help get rid of this dangerous chemical.

Here are some ideas on what you can say, but it will be more powerful if you use your own words. Feel free to tweet at them in Swedish directly!
A growing body of evidence suggests glyphosate probably causes cancer.
I am very concerned that, knowing this, the EU would renew its license and put people and the environment at risk.
I call on you to reject the 5-year renewal proposal, and instead support a ban, with immediate restrictions on the use of the substance and a strong phase-out plan.
With hope,
