Study suggest diet-induced, but not necessarily "inherited" insulin resistance reduces exercise induced muscle gains to zero
It's only a rodent study but in case you're wondering why you don't see any results, I would make sure that you don't belong to the increasing group of skinny fat insulin resistant normal-weight people.
www.suppversity.comOn a side note: This is another hint at the important role INSULIN plays in skeletal muscle hypertrophy. This does not mean that you have to have HIGH insulin levels, but that you should have a baseline level that will also be detected by your muscle (which is what's not happening in type II diabetics).
