Citat If every time you crave sugar, you eat fat.... don't be surprised if you accidentally consume too many calories. If every time you crave fat, you eat carbs.... don't be surprised if you accidentally consume too many calories. This diet game of "every time you want this, your body REALLY wants this and is just too stupid to know it", perhaps ironically, sets the stage for fat gain as a result of ignoring your body's own signals and forcing other things down in their replacement. Citat If someone told you that whenever you're craving sleep, what your body really wants is exercise; and that whenever you're craving exercise your body is craving sleep, you probably wouldn't be able to stop yourself from laughing in their face. It would be preposterous. But yet we accept this type of logic when it's about food. Want sugar? Eat bacon instead. Want food? Drink water. WTF? I think the greater problem is not that people are unable to interpret their body's signals, but rather that they've been convinced by the diet industry that they are unable to interpret their body's signals... thus creating a self-perpetuating loop of excessive cravings and overeating.
